The work is about my upbringing in urban neighborhoods. I reflect on how public art and nature enhanced my childhood. The goal is to create awareness of the extraordinary hidden in plain sight. In this awareness we can become advocates to improve our communities. I believe that in the process of developing a collective pride for our neighborhoods we can enhance each other's quality of life in the city.
